This boundary wall was built with a combination of rounded field stone and angular ledge stone from on site. The wall-building style is borrowed from the Galloway district of the British Isles: traditional double-sided construction for the bottom half of the wall followed by long stones for the top half as in a lace wall. A very satisfying type of wall in its efficient use of a wide variety of sizes, and it stacks up quickly. Photos by Emily Hoang.
